Did you get a new E-Reader for Christmas? Kindle? Nook? I-pad 2? Did you know that the Spirit Lake Public Library offers free downloads of thousands of e-books and audiobooks? A variety of materials, including current bestsellers, from children’s stories to adult non-fiction can be checked out.

These materials are available in different formats including e-pub and Kindle. Audiobooks can be downloaded to use on an mp3 player or burned to a compact disc (select titles). Downloads require a computer with internet access or wi-fi. The service we offer is through WILBOR, which has a link on our website at www.spiritlakepubliclibrary.org. You will need your library card number to download materials. A free download of the required Overdrive software also available at this site.

The library will be offering a come-and-go help session on downloading from Wilbor to your e-reader. This session will be held on Thursday, January 19^th from 7:00-8:00. You will need to bring your device and its cables. You may want to bring your own laptop. The library’s computer lab will also be available.
